An absolute ‘must do’ for gourmands interested in the superb food and wine New Zealand produces, this 3-night package is hosted by a prominent New Zealand food and wine personality. Enjoy a custom-designed program, including a private cook school and an excursion to the fabulous Hawke's Bay – eat, wine taste, sight-see and helicopter home.

This incredible culinary experience at Huka Lodge, includes: all Gourmet Package activities as well as pre-dinner drinks, five course dinners, lunches, use of all Lodge facilities and Taupo airport transfers.

  • Accommodation for three nights in a Junior Lodge Suite
  • Hosted by a select group of New Zealand’s finest food and wine personalities. One of whom will plan your personal program and ensure your whole experience is enhanced by being with you to enjoy it.
  • Trip to Hawke’s Bay – vehicle transfers one way, sightseeing at Craggy Range winery, wine tasting and helicopter back to Huka Lodge
  • Cook school with your food and wine host, followed by luncheon with accompanying wines
  • Pre-dinner drinks, five-course dinners, lunches as relating to the program, use of all Lodge facilities and return Taupo Airport transfers, if required.

Location

Huka Lodge is located on the banks of the Waikato River in Taupo, on the central plateau of New Zealand’s North Island. From Auckland International Airport, the Lodge is an easy 3- to 3.5- hour scenic drive or 45-minute domestic flight to Taupo Airport (transfers to and from the Lodge/Airport are complimentary). There is also a helipad within the Lodge grounds.

All prices quotes are in New Zealand dollars and include GST of 15%. This package is subject to availability and itinerary may change subject to last-minute circumstances. Helicopter excursions subject to weather conditions.
