Destination Overview
Set on the banks of the Grumeti River, Faru Faru Lodge offers guests the opportunity to experience an ever-changing show of congregating wildlife without leaving the lodge’s rustically-elegant viewing decks.
Thousands of wildebeest and zebra pass through this part of the Serengeti during the migration season, drinking from the water holes in front of the lodge.
Faru Faru is the quintessential walking safari destination, offering trekkers the opportunity to walk the dry sand river bed below canopies of tamarind, wild fig and acacia trees or relax on the Swahili-inspired beach.
